OUR MISSION

Maketh is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides art therapy to individuals and groups in need of mental health services. With the help of our supporters, we partner with local businesses, municipalities, universities, museums, and specialists to foster resilience, self-assurance, and problem-solving skills.

WHO WE SERVE

CHILDREN

Children are not always taught healthy coping skills and from an early age can begin developing coping mechanisims that can follow them into adulthood. By teaching children how to express themselves in a healthy way we hope to prepare the future generation with tools to thrive.

ELDERLY

Generations of adults have feared the stigmatazation of mental health care; making many aging adults exceptionally vulnerable as life circumstances change and their ability to cope may need to adapt. We believe engaging our clients in non-traditional therapy can illustrate the effectiveness of building therapeutic tools.

UNHOUSED

Being unhoused takes a toll on ones mental health and exasterbates existing conditions. We support our clients with accessible skill sets and approachable methods to promote personal wellbeing and community building through. We meet our clients where they are and work to support their needs.

VETERANS

The stigma of mental health care impacts many communities, veterans especially. Veteran’s experience trauma and loss at a high rate and not intrinsically given a tool set to cope with these emotions. We at Maketh embrace the process and fit programing to suit the needs of our honored service members.

HOW WE WORK

THERAPISTS

We work with licensed art therapists to guide, inform, and endorse programing. We take health seriously; and if at any time a client presents with symptoms best suited for a licensed therapist, we have contacts ready to assist those with higher need.

PARTNERSHIPS

Maketh partners with local businesses, municipalities, universities, museums, and experts to bring the highest level of experience, skill sets, and facilities to our clients.

WORKSHOPS

Our monthly workshops are held in group settings, open to the public and offer a guided experience, including grounding exercises, internal exploration and the opportunity to discuss the process with peers.
